Checkpoint Systems Introduces Next Generation Access Control Solution

Pinnacle V3.0 Meets Demand for Expanded Features, Greater Control

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 2004--Checkpoint Systems, Inc., (NYSE: CKP), a leading provider of access control solutions, has debuted a sophisticated next generation access control system to meet client demands for more precise control, greater flexibility and enhanced security for facilities ranging in size from a small office with a single entry to a building campus with multiple security access points. Pinnacle V 3.0 builds on the flexibility and scalability of its predecessor, offering a user-friendly, feature-rich hardware and software package and an expanded library of integrated feature sets. Pinnacle V 3.0, now Windows 2003 qualified, was unveiled today at the International Security Conference at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
A category-defining feature making its debut in Pinnacle V 3.0 is Database Partitioning. This functionality lets administrators in multi-tenant environments like large office sites, campuses with different departments, or large museum spaces, customize access control by person and department. Worldwide, the database partitioning can allow the corporate headquarters of a company to administer employee-level access in field offices globally, regardless of location or time zone.
